Apple's share from the global smartphone market fell throughout the 2nd quarter to the cheapest level in 4 years, based on data launched Friday.

Apple required 13.1% from the worldwide market, based on ABI Research, lower from 16.6% last year. This is the cheapest level because the third quarter of 2009, 2 yrs following the launch from the first apple iphone.

Apple, located in Cupertino, Calif., offered 31.two million apple iphones within the April-to-June period, up from 26 million within the same period last year, the report stated. However the company's sales growth is not keeping pace using the overall smartphone market, which increased 52% from this past year.

No. 3 with no. 4 smartphone makers, LG Electronics of Korea and Lenovo Corp. of China, bending their sales within the quarter, based on ABI research.

Samsung, the earth's biggest maker of mobile phones, also saw a stop by share of the market.
